16-year-old killed in accidental Bowling Green shooting

The investigation remains ongoing, police said.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — A 16-year-old was killed in an apparent accidental shooting Friday night in Bowling Green, police said.

The Bowling Green Police Department responded at about 7:55 p.m. Aug. 14 to a report of a shooting in the 3000 block of Woodbridge Lane.

Officers found 16-year-old Biak Hmung dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound, according to police.

Detectives determined during the investigation that the shooting was accidental.

Another 16-year-old male was arrested and lodged in connection with the incident. He was charged with reckless homicide.
