Obituary Submissions

Barrenside accepts obituary submissions for members of the Barren County community and surrounding areas. Obituaries help us honor lives lived and share important information with friends, family, and neighbors.


How to Submit

Obituaries may be submitted by family members, funeral homes, or authorized representatives.

Email submissions to: obits@barrenside.com

Please include the obituary text in the body of the email or as an attached document.

What to Include

To avoid delays, please include:

  • Full name of the deceased
  • Age at the time of death
  • City or community of residence
  • Date of death
  • Service information, if available
  • Name and contact information of the person submitting the obituary

Photos are welcome and should be attached as high-resolution images when possible.

Review and Publication

All obituary submissions are reviewed before publication. Barrenside reserves the right to edit submissions for clarity, length, and style, while making every effort to preserve the intent and voice of the family.
