Pitch a Story

There is a lot to report on, a lot to love, and a lot more than we can cover by ourselves in South Central Kentucky.

Generally, we will be much more likely to pursue a story if you can provide details, documentary evidence, or other reporting. Speculating or having a hunch does not rise to the level of a tip.

A strong pitch helps us understand why your story matters and how it has real-world consequences. Please include a 100-200 word summary that covers:

• What the story is about and why it is timely or important to the community.
• Any key people, organizations, or sources that could provide insight.
• Why you think this story deserves our attention.
• Any background or context that will help us pursue the story effectively.

If relevant, you may also include your experience or connection to the topic, and any materials that support the story, such as documents, photos, or links.

We independently verify all information provided to us. We do not disclose the origin of tips and do not identify sources unless expressly agreed upon in advance.
