Barren County families can sign up for Angel Tree Sept. 22-24

GLASGOW, Ky. — The Salvation Army’s annual Angel Tree program will return to Barren County this holiday season, with registration opening Sept. 22.

The program helps provide Christmas gifts to children and families in need.

Families who meet the program’s requirements can register during one of three sign-up times at the Barren County Family YMCA, 1 YMCA Way in Glasgow.

Families should bring identification, a SNAP benefits award letter or state health insurance award letter. They also should have information about each child’s clothing and shoe sizes, including shirt, pants and shoe sizes.

Registration times are:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 22: 7-11 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 23: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Thursday, Sept. 24: 3-7 p.m.
