Barren County man killed in crash with semi-truck

GLASGOW, Ky. — A Barren County man was killed early Friday morning in a head-on crash involving a semi-truck.

According to Kentucky State Police Post 3, Timothy Parsons, 41, of Glasgow, was traveling west on Kentucky 90 when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound semi near Flint Knob Road.

Police say the semi, a 2022 Peterbilt, was driven by Rayen Hicks, 32, of Sellersburg, Indiana. The crash occurred shortly after 5 a.m.

Both vehicles caught fire, prompting a response from multiple fire departments.

Parsons was pronounced dead at the scene.

The roadway was shut down for several hours and reopened just after 3 p.m.
