GLASGOW, Ky. — Police in Glasgow closed a portion of East Main Street following a barricaded subject situation Wednesday afternoon.

Residents in the area of Harwood Street reported seeing police with guns drawn.

According to Major Terry Flatt, spokesperson for the Glasgow Police Department, said the road was closed from Gorin Park to Houchens IGA.

One person was taken into custody. No one was injured. Police said the call involved a suicidal subject, and it was unclear if police planned to release any further details about the situation.

The roadway has since reopened.
