GLASGOW, Ky. — The community is invited to a Barrenside-hosted forum May 5 where candidates for countywide offices will share their positions and priorities.

Candidates for judge/executive, sheriff and jailer will participate in the event, which begins at 6 p.m. at the Plaza Theatre in Glasgow.

All participating candidates are Republicans, with one Democrat running in the primary election. After the primary, Barrenside plans to expand coverage to provide additional opportunities for the public to hear from candidates of both parties.

Those scheduled to participate include Jamie Bewley Byrd and Paula Ratliff Pedigo for judge/executive; Adam Bow, Freddie Wilkerson and Steve Garrison for sheriff; and Aaron Shirley, Larry Poteet and Hunter Seth Jones for jailer.

Candidates will appear on stage together and respond to questions that will not be released in advance. The event is not a debate, and each candidate will be limited to one response per question.

For those unable to attend in person, the forum will be streamed online by Glasgow EPB and available on YouTube, Facebook and Barrenside.com.
