GLASGOW, Ky. — Students, teachers, families and community members are invited to gather for Praise in the Park, a community worship event scheduled from 5 to 7:15 p.m. on Aug. 5 at Beaver Creek Park.

Organized by local Fellowship of Christian Athletes leaders Caleb Reece and Carson Browning, the evening will feature student-led worship, personal testimonies and a time of community prayer as the community prepares for a new school year.

Browning said the event is intended to encourage students, teachers, administrators and families while creating an opportunity to begin the school year focused on faith.

“Our prayer is that this night would help people begin the school year with their eyes fixed on Christ, encourage them to live out their faith boldly, and create space for God to work in people’s lives,” he said.

The free event is open to the public.
