GLASGOW, Ky. — With the new school year approaching, the Glasgow Police Department and Barren County Sheriff’s Office will host their annual “Cram the Cruiser” event July 24 to collect school supplies for students across Barren County.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with drop-off locations at Walmart and Dollar General stores on Scottsville Road in Haywood, Edmonton Road and Happy Valley Road in Glasgow.

Organizers are seeking donations of school supplies including binders, glue sticks, safety scissors, markers, folders, backpacks, tissues, colored pencils and crayons.

All donations will benefit students in school systems across Barren County.
