GLASGOW, Ky. — A vehicle crash along Leslie Avenue caused a power outage in Glasgow Thursday, knocking out electricity for several nearby streets, according to Glasgow Electric Plant Board officials.

The outage is limited to Leslie Avenue, St. Mary’s Court and South Green Street, EPB officials said.

Crews determined the outage was caused after the crash damaged a utility pole. Power is expected to remain off in the affected area until the pole can be replaced.

Glasgow Police Department said there were minor injuries, and one person was taken to the hospital. No further details have been released about how the crash.

EPB crews are working to restore service as quickly as possible once repairs are completed.
