GREENSBURG, Ky. — A Greensburg man was taken to the hospital in Glasgow following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on U.S. 68 in Green County that left one woman dead, according to Kentucky State Police.

The crash happened just after 11:30 a.m. on U.S. 68, when 76-year-old Janice McKinney of Greensburg was traveling east in a 2009 Kia Rio.

Investigators said McKinney crossed the center line into the westbound lane and into the path of an oncoming vehicle. That vehicle, a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, was driven by 30-year-old Cody Richmond of Greensburg.

Richmond was transported to TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

McKinney was pronounced dead at the scene by the Green County Coroner.

Kentucky State Police Post 15 said troopers were requested by the Green County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the crash.

Senior Trooper Brandon Roark is investigating.
