GLASGOW, Ky. — Former members of the Boys & Girls Club of Glasgow-Barren County are being invited to help form an alumni and friends association.

CEO Mallie Boston shared the proposal on social media, saying she wants to create a way for people who spent time at the club, whether recently or decades ago, to remain involved with the organization and with one another.

The group could offer opportunities for alumni to mentor, volunteer and participate in occasional gatherings.

Boston said the idea is still in its early stages and that she wants to gauge interest before moving forward.

“I’m exploring starting an Alumni & Friends Association,” Boston said. “Before I build anything, I want to know if there’s actually interest.”

Boston envisions one or two gatherings each year, along with a way for members to stay in touch between events. She said the effort would be open to former club members who remain in Barren County as well as those who have since moved away.

Those interested can express their interest by contacting Boston directly.
