GLASGOW, Ky. — Glasgow’s annual Christmas Parade will return Dec. 5 with a theme celebrating both the holiday season and the 250th anniversary of the United States.

This year’s theme is “Stars, Stripes & Silent Nights.”

The parade will highlight American history, hometown heroes, Christmas traditions and the American Dream while celebrating the values of freedom, family and community, organizers said.

The parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, in Glasgow.

The parade will begin at Glasgow High School on Columbia Avenue, travel toward the downtown square, circle the square and finish near Glasgow Baptist Church on South Green Street.

Float applications will be available beginning Oct. 1. Organizers are encouraging participants to begin planning their floats and decorations around this year’s theme.

Phillips Family Grocery & Butcher Shop will return as the parade’s Grand Marshal Sponsor.
