BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Med Center Health Foundation has received a $4.2 million donation from the Robert and Mary Tincher Charitable Foundation, the largest gift in the local health foundation’s history.

The donation will support the Robert and Mary Tincher Guardian Angel Children’s Services Endowment, which helps provide free or reduced-cost pediatric medical, dental and orthodontic care to children in Bowling Green and Warren County.

The Tinchers have supported the Med Center Health Foundation since its inception in 2000, contributing $1.6 million before the latest donation. That includes a $1 million gift in 2024 to the Guardian Angel Children’s Services Program, which was renamed in their honor.

The latest contribution brings the Tincher Foundation’s total support of Med Center Health Foundation to nearly $6 million.

“This is the largest gift our Foundation has ever received, and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to carry forward Robert and Mary Tincher’s legacy of giving back to the community,” said Connie Smith, president and CEO of Med Center Health.

Smith said the Tinchers’ generosity will help provide care for local children in need for years to come.

Med Center Health will provide the services through its Community Clinic and Dental Clinic. More than 400 children received assistance through the Robert and Mary Tincher Guardian Angel Children's Services Program in 2025.

Michele Lawless, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Med Center Health, said the organization recognizes the time and stewardship behind the donation and is committed to continuing the Tinchers’ legacy.

“We are honored they have entrusted us to carry on their legacy,” Lawless said. “We accept that responsibility with gratitude and a deep commitment to the children and families we serve.”
