SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. — A Scottsville man was killed early Sunday morning in a motorcycle crash in Allen County, according to Kentucky State Police.

Troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green responded just after 1 a.m. to the 1000 block of Macedonia Road after receiving a call from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office about an injury collision involving a motorcycle.

A preliminary investigation indicates a 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, operated by Remington James Matlock, 26, of Scottsville, was traveling north on Macedonia Road when it left the roadway and struck a wooded fence post.

Matlock was pronounced dead at the scene by the Allen County Coroner.

The crash remains under investigation by Trooper Grant Roberson.

Allen County Sheriff’s Office, Allen County EMS and other Kentucky State Police personnel assisted at the scene, according to a news release.
