GLASGOW, Ky. — A National Day of Prayer gathering is set for Thursday morning at the Barren County Courthouse.

According to an announcement in this week’s Barren Inc. bulletin, the event will begin at 7:30 a.m. and is open to the community.

Organizers plan to offer prayers for a range of areas, including business, church, government, education, family, military and media, as well as prayers for Israel’s peace and protection.

Justin Cole Meredith will lead worship, according to the announcement.

The National Day of Prayer is observed annually on the first Thursday in May across the United States.
