GLASGOW, Ky. — The Barren County Fiscal Court is set to consider a lengthy list of financial approvals, agreements and budget matters during its meeting Tuesday.

Magistrates will meet April 21 at 9 a.m. at the Barren County Government Center.

Several invoices and payments are slated for approval, including $73,500 to Don Franklin Auto, $44,274.06 to Grey Rock Excavation, $34,208.75 to the Barren County Economic Authority and $30,501.42 total for two invoices from Frontline Emergency Lighting.

Additional payments include $18,380.04 to Barren-Metcalfe E-911, $14,117.75 to Barrens Information Technology Systems, $12,000 to Lakeside Recycling, $10,000 to Carr Riggs & Ingram, $8,750 to the Community Relief Fund and $6,200 to KNOWiNK.

The fiscal court will also consider an interlocal agreement for the South Central Workforce Development Area, an agreement with Mid State Waste and an updated Kentucky Transportation Cabinet road list for 2026.

Magistrates are expected to acknowledge receipt of the 2026-2027 budget for the Barren County Extension District.

A workforce development presentation from John Sowards is also scheduled during the meeting.
