GLASGOW, Ky. — The Barren County Area Technology Center has named Carl Owens as its new principal, returning a longtime educator and former administrator to the school.

Owens brings more than two decades of experience in career and technical education to the role.

According to the Barren County Area Technology Center, his background includes four years in industry, 21 years teaching computer-aided design at the center and three years in administration with Barren County Schools.

School officials said Owens’ experience and commitment to career and technical education will help support students, staff and the school community as he assumes the leadership position.

Owens, his wife, Casi, and their son, Magnus, live in Glasgow.

The technology center announced Owens’ appointment in a social media post, welcoming him back to the school.
