Glasgow police resolve standoff, take man into custody

GLASGOW, Ky. — A man was taken into custody Friday evening after a standoff at a Glasgow apartment complex along Glenview Drive.

Officers with the Glasgow Police Department and Barren County Sheriff's Office were on scene with weapons drawn.

Terry Flatt, department spokesperson, told Barrenside that the area special response team was called to the scene.

Residents nearby said first responders instructed people in the area to go inside and remain there while officers handled the situation.
