GLASGOW, Ky. — The Friends of the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library will kick off their fall book sale Thursday evening with a members-only shopping event before opening the sale to the public Friday and Saturday.

The members-only sale will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Membership renewals and new memberships will be available beginning at 3:15 p.m.

Nonmembers can join the Friends group for $5 to participate in the members-only sale.

Organizers said the sale will feature a large selection of books, with an especially strong selection of children's books. Teachers, caregivers, parents and others looking for children's books are encouraged to attend.

The sale will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

A $2 bag sale will take place Monday, with bags provided by the organizers.

The Friends of the MWWM Library ask shoppers to bring cash, as the sale will be cash only. The library is located at 1530 S. Green St.
