CAVE CITY, Ky. — Multiple fire departments responded Thursday morning to a residential structure fire on Old Mammoth Cave Road in Cave City.

According to the Cave City Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched at approximately 11:14 a.m. to the 700 block of Old Mammoth Cave Road for a reported residential structure fire.

Upon arrival, crews initiated what officials described as an aggressive fire attack and worked to contain the blaze while protecting nearby property.

Several neighboring departments responded to assist, including the Park City Fire Department, Horse Cave Fire Department, Glasgow Fire Department and Hiseville Fire Department.

No one was inside the home when the fire occurred, and no injuries were reported among residents or emergency responders, according to the fire department.

The Cave City Fire Department thanked the assisting agencies for their response and noted that mutual aid partnerships play an important role in protecting lives and property throughout the region.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
