GLASGOW, Ky. — The Glasgow Police Department has announced road closures ahead of the upcoming Sip, Shop & Stroll event scheduled for Saturday, June 6, in downtown Glasgow.

According to a department social media post, several streets around the Public Square will be closed beginning at 6 a.m. and will remain shut down until the event concludes and cleanup is completed.

The affected areas include East Main Street from the Glasgow Plaza to the Public Square, South Race Street and West Washington Street leading to the square, and North Race Street and West Front Street around the square.

Officials said the closures are being implemented to ensure public safety as pedestrians and vendors gather for the downtown event.

Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and expect delays in the downtown area throughout the day.

The Sip, Shop & Stroll event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to the public. Organizers say several vendors and food trucks are expected to participate.
