GLASGOW, Ky. — The Friends of the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library will host a one-day book sale Thursday, offering shoppers the chance to stock up on summer reading materials at a discounted price.

The sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the library lobby as volunteers clear space to restock for the fall season. All books in the lobby will be available as part of a buy-one, get-one-free promotion.

Regular prices include $1 for adult hardbacks and 50 cents for adult paperbacks, children’s books and teen books.

The sale will feature a variety of titles, including fiction, romance, mystery, science fiction, spiritual books, nonfiction and children’s and teen selections.

The sale is cash only, and shoppers are encouraged to bring exact change. Those unable to attend before 4 p.m. can still browse the sale during the library’s regular hours until 8 p.m. and pay at the checkout desk.

The Friends of the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library is a volunteer nonprofit that helps support and promote the library.
