Police said the road was closed while an investigation was underway.

GLASGOW, Ky. — The Glasgow Police Department is investigating a Sunday crash that happened at the intersection of East Main Street and Bowen Avenue and left a motorcycle rider with life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the crash occurred when a 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Dakota Dixon Lee was traveling eastbound in the wrong lane of travel.

At the same time, a 2015 Chevrolet operated by Lucinda Hurt was attempting to turn left from Bowen Avenue onto East Main Street when the vehicles collided.

Lee was transported by Barren-Metcalfe EMS for life-threatening injuries. Police said no motorcycle helmet was in use at the time of the crash.

Hurt was also transported for treatment of minor injuries.

The crash was investigated by Glasgow Police Officer Dawson Wooten and remains under investigation by the Glasgow Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team.
