LUCAS, Ky. — Barren River Lake State Resort Park is seeking local vendors for a new monthly farmers market planned this summer and early fall.

According to an announcement from the park, the market will be held on the second Saturday of each month from June through September from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Organizers said they are looking for a variety of vendors, including farmers selling fresh produce, handmade crafters and artists, bakers, specialty food vendors, food trucks, small businesses and boutiques.

The event is aimed at connecting local businesses and makers with the community while promoting locally grown and handmade products.

The park described the market as a “fun lakeside community event” designed to encourage residents and visitors to support local vendors throughout the summer season.
