GLASGOW, Ky. — Entertain Glasgow will host two evenings of community events this weekend celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday.

The celebration begins Friday with live music on the downtown public square. Food trucks and festivities will begin at 5 p.m., followed by performances at 7 p.m.

Blaine Harden will open for Green River Band Friday, according to Entertain Glasgow.

The Glasgow Police Department announced several road closures ahead of the event. The east side of the public square will close at 8 a.m. Friday, followed by the north side at 3 p.m. and the south side at 5 p.m.

The celebration continues Saturday at Beaver Creek Park, where Colton Kise and Daryl Worley will perform beginning at 7 p.m. Gates will open at 5 p.m., and the evening will conclude with a drone show.

Both events are free and open to families in the community.
