GLASGOW, Ky. — Three contractors have filed liens seeking payment for work performed on the new Bounty of the Barrens Farmers Market facility, according to records filed in the Barren County Clerk’s Office.

The filings were submitted by Clemmons Electric, Botts Plumbing and Dunbar’s HVAC. Together, the companies claim they are owed more than $105,000 for labor, materials and services provided during construction of the project.

New farmers market sees successful launch, city says
The new facility will serve as both a farmers market and a community gathering space, according to previously released information from officials overseeing the project.

According to the filings, Clemmons Electric is seeking $61,235, while Dunbar’s HVAC claims $27,600 and Botts Plumbing claims $16,850.

Concentric Corp. of America, which was hired by the city of Glasgow to oversee construction of the project, is named in the lien filings as the company responsible for payment.

The liens indicate the contractors claim they are owed money for work performed on the project. The filings serve as a formal notice of those claims while the payment dispute is resolved.

Glasgow Mayor Henry Royse said he was aware of the situation and had been informed that most of the payments to the contractors were expected by the end of the week.

Concentric Corp. of America did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
