Graves Gilbert, T.J. Regional Health to explore partnership
Officials said the potential partnership could create opportunities to coordinate care and expand access to health care services across southcentral Kentucky.
GLASGOW, Ky. — T.J. Regional Health and Graves Gilbert Clinic will begin exploring a long-term partnership after Graves Gilbert’s physician members and owners selected T.J. Regional Health as the clinic’s preferred partner.
The two health care organizations will now enter a due diligence process to determine the details of a potential partnership.
No final agreement has been announced.
A partnership could bring together more than 300 providers across primary care and specialty services, according to the organizations.
Officials said the potential partnership could create opportunities to coordinate care and expand access to health care services across southcentral Kentucky.
“This is an exciting opportunity for both organizations and, most importantly, for the patients and communities we serve,” said Neil Thornbury, CEO of T.J. Regional Health. “Graves Gilbert Clinic has built a respected legacy of clinical excellence, and we believe bringing our organizations together will allow us to build on that legacy while creating an even stronger healthcare system for the future.”
Graves Gilbert Clinic patients should continue attending appointments and seeking care as they normally would. The organizations said existing appointments and clinic operations will continue without interruption during the process.

Regional Health,” said Dr. Samer Kalakish, chairman of the Graves Gilbert Clinic Board of Directors. “The shared values and cultures of our two organizations are a natural fit.”
Graves Gilbert Clinic was established in 1937 and is a physician-owned medical group serving southcentral Kentucky. The clinic has more than 200 providers across 30 specialties and operates 28 locations across a 13-county region.
T.J. Regional Health is the parent system of T.J. Samson Community Hospital and T.J. Health Columbia. It also operates the T.J. Health Pavilion, Family Medicine Center and Residency Program, Hospice and Home Care Services, T.J. Orthopedics, rural health clinics and other services.
The organizations did not announce a timeline for completing the due diligence process or reaching a final agreement.
