GLASGOW, Ky. — The Frazier Kentucky History Museum is bringing its interactive “120: Cool KY Counties” exhibit to Glasgow this week as part of the Louisville Orchestra’s In Harmony Tour.

The traveling exhibit, titled “120: Cool KY Counties on the Road,” features stories, songs, legends and traditions from all 120 Kentucky counties. The project debuted at the Louisville museum in 2024 and is now being taken statewide through festivals, fairs, libraries and schools.

The exhibit will make its Glasgow stop Thursday, June 25, on the town square from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. before the Louisville Orchestra’s free performance at 7:30 p.m.

The evening concert will transform the square around City Hall into an open-air venue, where audiences typically gather on the courthouse lawn and surrounding streets.

According to the museum, the exhibit recreates the experience of the original installation through a specially outfitted van featuring touchscreens, photo opportunities, artifacts and facilitators who help visitors explore Kentucky history and learn how to preserve their own stories.

Museum officials said the project aims to promote Kentucky pride while encouraging collaboration and understanding among communities across the commonwealth.

“While the 120: Cool KY Counties project was created by the Frazier, it’s not about the Frazier — it’s about the people who make up this great Commonwealth,” the museum said in a release.

In addition to the traveling exhibit, the museum plans to launch a curriculum based on the project that can be delivered in person or virtually to schools.

Following its Glasgow stop, the exhibit will travel to Elizabethtown and Shelbyville in conjunction with additional In Harmony Tour events.
