CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky State Police have arrested a 17-year-old juvenile following an investigation into allegations involving child sexual abuse material in Taylor County.

According to a KSP news release, troopers and detectives with Post 15 began investigating in August after receiving a report that the juvenile was allegedly in possession of child sexual abuse material.

Detective Zach Scott responded to a residence on Birdie Avenue in Campbellsville and launched the investigation.

On Oct. 23, the case was presented to a Taylor County grand jury, which returned an indictment charging the juvenile with six counts of use of a minor under 16 in a sexual performance and six counts of possession or viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor over 12 but under 18 years of age.

Master Trooper Nick Davis served the indictment that evening, and the juvenile was arrested and lodged at the Adair Youth Development Center, according to state police.

The juvenile is being held on a $250,000 bond.

The investigation remains ongoing and is being led by Scott, with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
