Planning Commission to get first look at Crossland’s proposed Glasgow campus
The proposal marks the first public review of plans for the church’s new campus on Veterans Outer Loop.
GLASGOW, Ky. — Plans for Crossland Community Church’s proposed new Glasgow campus will receive their first public review Monday when the Joint City-County Planning Commission in Barren County considers a preliminary development plan.
The proposal covers about 4.75 acres along Veterans Outer Loop, where the church announced in December it intended to build a new campus.
In a social media video announcing the purchase, Senior Pastor Gregg Farrell said the property came from a man who decided during the final 72 hours of his life to sell the land to the church.
“We purchased this land, and on this land we will build a beautiful building,” Farrell said. “We’re not going to build a church because we already have that.”
That man was Larry Glass Sr., who instructed his son, Larry Glass Jr., to contact Farrell and tell him Crossland could have the property if the church wanted it.
“God proved through this one man’s life that death had no hold on him, and death cannot stop what God is going to do,” Farrell said.
Property records show the church purchased the property for $875,000 in December.
Crossland Community Church currently operates its Glasgow campus at 217 N.L. Rogers Wells Blvd.
