ALEXANDRIA, Ky. — The Campbell County Property Valuation Administrator has been indicted on felony charges related to allegedly attempting to solicit a minor, according to the Kentucky Attorney General's Office.

A Campbell County grand jury on Thursday indicted Daniel Braun, 52, on two counts of procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means, a Class C felony.

According to the indictment, Braun allegedly contacted a person he believed was under the age of 18 on at least two occasions in March 2026.

The Attorney General's Office said a detective with its Department of Criminal Investigations posed as a minor during the conversations that led to Braun's arrest.

The Department of Criminal Investigations investigated the case, and Assistant Attorney General Ramsey Dallam presented the case to the Campbell County Grand Jury on behalf of the Commonwealth.

The Kentucky Attorney General's Office said the Kentucky Supreme Court's rules on trial publicity limit the amount of information that can be released publicly while the case is pending.

An indictment is an accusation of criminal conduct and not a finding of guilt. Braun is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
