GLASGOW, Ky. — The Glasgow Police Department will host a Police Officer Memorial Service on May 8 to honor officers who have died in the line of duty.

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the department and will feature a presentation of colors and a memorial wreath ceremony conducted by the Glasgow Honor Guard.

Several community leaders are expected to participate, including Police Chief Guy Howie, Nic Smith of River Lake Church, and Sheriff Kent Keen.

Mayor Henry Royse and Barren County Judge/Executive Jamie Byrd are expected to issue official proclamations. Remarks are also anticipated from Kylie Foushee of Congressman Brett Guthrie’s office and state Rep. Steve Riley.

The event is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend. The department is located at 101 Pin Oak Lane.
