GLASGOW, Ky. — A Barren County toddler is set to take the stage this weekend, representing her hometown in a statewide pageant and she is already off to a strong start.

Racelynn Faith Brooks will compete Saturday in the Miss Kentucky Bluegrass pageant, part of the AmeriFest Pageants system, in Somerset.

She earned her spot earlier this year after being crowned Baby Miss Bluegrass Barren County at a preliminary competition in January, according to her mother, Chaley Brooks.

Now, she will compete for the Tiny Miss Bluegrass title, with the chance to advance even further.

In addition to the main competition, Racelynn is also in the running for the pageant’s People’s Choice award, a fan voted honor that comes with a long list of prizes and a fast track to nationals.

Voting for People’s Choice closes before contestants take the stage at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25. Cast your vote here.

The winner receives the title of Miss Bluegrass State, automatic advancement to AmeriFest U.S. Nationals, and prizes including a custom crown and sash, travel packages, a professional photo session and other gifts.

Brooks said her daughter would appreciate support from the community as she represents Barren County.
