GLASGOW, Ky. — Donations are being accepted to help the family of Kentucky State Police Trooper Hayden Phillips, a Barren County resident who was killed in the line of duty Monday.

The Kentucky State Police Foundation is collecting donations through the Trooper Hayden Phillips Fund. The foundation says 100% of donations designated for the fund will go directly to Phillips’ family.

The money can help cover meals, household expenses and other everyday needs as the family navigates the days ahead.

Phillips, assigned Unit 369, was killed Sept. 28 while serving as a state trooper.

Donations can be made online through either of the following options:

About six hours after the shooting, Kentucky State Police held a news conference to share what they knew about the killing and the investigation.
