NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Former Barren County High School basketball standout Bailey Pedigo has been promoted to assistant coach and director of operations for the Lipscomb University women’s basketball program.

Lipscomb announced the promotion June 1 after Pedigo spent the past two seasons as a graduate assistant with the Bisons, where she worked in scouting, player development, recruiting and team operations.

“Bailey seamlessly transitioned into our program as a graduate student and immediately made her impact felt through the joy that she brings every day and her servant heart,” Lipscomb head coach Lauren Sumski said in a statement.

Sumski credited Pedigo’s work ethic and commitment to the program, saying she had already demonstrated the qualities needed for the position.

The promotion continues Pedigo’s basketball journey, which began at Barren County High School before a successful collegiate career at Campbellsville University.

At Campbellsville, Pedigo helped lead the Tigers to three conference championships, two conference tournament titles and three appearances in the NAIA National Championship tournament. All three postseason runs ended in the national quarterfinals.

During her collegiate career, Pedigo played in 128 games with 105 starts, recording 679 points, 446 rebounds and 377 assists. She also earned Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference honors and was named Champion of Character by both the conference and the NAIA in 2023.

Off the court, Pedigo served as president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Campbellsville and participated in the Mid-South Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

She graduated summa cum laude from Campbellsville University in 2024 with degrees in mathematics and health and physical education. This spring, she completed a Master of Education degree at Lipscomb with an emphasis in curriculum and instructional coaching.

The promotion elevates Pedigo to a full-time coaching role as Lipscomb prepares for the 2026–27 season.
