GLASGOW, Ky. — The Glasgow Police Department will host a drug take-back station at Walmart on Saturday as part of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Officers will be at the Glasgow Walmart from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 24, giving residents an opportunity to safely dispose of unused or unwanted medications.

Needles will not be accepted at the event. Pills may be brought in their original prescription bottles.

Residents can also dispose of medications year-round at the drop box inside Glasgow Police Department headquarters.

For those needing to dispose of needles, the Barren County Health Department has an outdoor kiosk where they can be dropped off at any time.
