GLASGOW, Ky. — As early voting begins across Kentucky, Attorney General Russell Coleman is encouraging voters to report suspected election law violations through the state’s Election Fraud Hotline.

The hotline, operated by the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office, accepts reports by phone at (800) 328-VOTE and through an online complaint system.

“Kentuckians can trust that our elections remain free, fair, and secure,” Coleman said in a statement Thursday. “Our investigators, prosecutors and support staff are committed to safeguarding the integrity of every ballot.”

According to the attorney general’s office, 112 suspected fraud cases have been reported statewide since Jan. 1.

The hotline is available year-round to receive messages.

On Election Day, staff members answer calls live while polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern time. Complaints are reviewed and may be referred to the Department of Criminal Investigations.

Kentucky’s no-excuse early voting period runs Thursday through Saturday ahead of Tuesday’s primary election.

After Election Day, the attorney general’s office said it will randomly select 12 counties for additional election reviews.

Investigators will speak with election officials, interview voters and examine records before reports are presented to grand juries in those counties.

Voters can learn more or submit complaints through the Kentucky Attorney General’s election fraud page.
