Police: Stolen vehicle leads to arrest of wanted suspect in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. — A Franklin man was arrested Wednesday after police recovered a stolen vehicle and located a suspect with multiple active warrants, according to the Glasgow Police Department.

Officer Zachary Cook reported he was notified around 7:51 a.m. of a possible stolen vehicle near Park Ave. Upon arrival, dispatch confirmed the vehicle, a Ford Bronco, had been entered as stolen in a national database out of Warren County.

Officers made contact with a nearby resident who indicated the person believed to be driving the vehicle had been staying at a home on Park Avenue.

Dispatch also advised that the individual, later identified as 43-year-old Randall Blake Hesson, had four active warrants, according to an arrest citation.

Police then made contact with residents of the home, who told officers Hesson was upstairs. Officers entered the residence and located Hesson on the second floor, where he was taken into custody without incident.

During a search following the arrest, officers found a key fob in Hesson’s pocket that was later determined to belong to the stolen vehicle. Hesson was advised of his Miranda rights and declined to answer questions, according to the citation.

He was transported to the Barren County Detention Center and charged with receiving stolen property valued at $10,000 or more.

The vehicle was removed from the scene by Ace Automotive, and the Warren County Sheriff's Office was notified.
