GLASGOW, Ky. — Middle and high school students will once again take part in a series of community service projects as part of Serve309, a three-day missional service initiative.

The Christian-oriented service opportunity spans three counties, including Barren County. Students participate in construction projects, community service work and evangelistic outreach efforts.

According to the Liberty Association of Baptists, each day concludes with worship, praise and a time of teaching in a shared gathering.

Serve309 originated from LoveLoud, which launched in 2013 and transitioned under new leadership in 2023. The program now operates under the Serve309 name, inspired by the 309 biblical references to service.

The host site for the event is Calvary Baptist Church at 307 Columbia Ave. in Glasgow, with Coral Hill Baptist Church also playing a key role in organizing and participation.

The group is currently accepting nominations for service projects in the area.
