BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Graves Gilbert Clinic is undergoing a leadership change at the top of the organization, with its CEO leaving his role and an interim leader now in place.

In a statement released Wednesday, the Graves Gilbert Clinic announced that Chief Executive Officer Michael E. D’Eramo has departed from his role. He was hired in 2023 as CEO.

The clinic’s board of directors thanked him for his service, noting his contributions to the regional health system.

“On behalf of the Board, we thank Mr. D’Eramo for his service and wish him well in his future endeavors,” said Dr. Samer Kalakish, chairman of the board.

He said the clinic remains focused on its mission of providing “high-quality, patient-centered care” across south central Kentucky, including Barren County.

The board has appointed Chief Financial Officer Chris N. Vowels as interim CEO while a search for a permanent replacement begins. Vowels has held a senior leadership role within the organization and has experience in health care operations and finance, according to the clinic.

Clinic officials emphasized that the leadership change will not impact patient care, services, or daily operations. All locations remain open and appointments are continuing as scheduled.

The announcement follows recent operational changes at the clinic earlier this year, when the organization reported layoffs and a restructuring of its Glasgow operations.

At that time, officials said they were expanding primary care services in Glasgow, consolidating a former walk-in clinic, and increasing appointment availability at Dr. Andy Turner’s office, including same-day visits.

The clinic says its leadership transition is ongoing, with the board guiding the search for a permanent CEO while maintaining continuity of services across its network in south central Kentucky.
