BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Two new telecommunicators are joining Kentucky State Police Post 3 following their graduation from the state’s telecommunications academy.

The Kentucky State Police announced Thursday that 22 telecommunicators completed the agency’s training program and will now serve at posts across the commonwealth.

Among them are Kassidy Brown and Dannielle Clark, who have been assigned to the Bowling Green post, which covers Barren County.

Telecommunicators dispatch troopers and coordinate with other agencies during emergencies. In 2025 alone, KSP telecommunicators handled nearly one million phone calls, leading to more than 532,600 requests for assistance, according to a news release.

“Behind every emergency response is a telecommunicator working with precision and professionalism,” KSP Commissioner Phillip Burnett Jr. said. “These graduates are stepping into a role that requires focus, compassion and quick decision-making.”

The 26th class of the KSP Telecommunications Academy completed 160 hours of training over four weeks. Instruction included emergency dispatch procedures, legal responsibilities, ethics, stress management, first aid and communication skills.

KSP Law Enforcement Training Instructor Dacia Wood praised the class, saying the graduates demonstrated strong dedication and professionalism throughout the program.
