Glasgow ceremony will mark 25 years since 9/11 attacks

GLASGOW, Ky. — After a quarter of a century, the shock and terror of Sept. 11, 2001, still resonates for many across the nation and around the world.
On Friday, Glasgow will join communities across the country in remembering the lives lost and honoring the first responders and others who answered the call that day.
A candlelight vigil will be held at 7 p.m. at the Glasgow Fire Department headquarters, 203 S. Broadway St., to mark the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

The event is organized by members of the local Freedom Warriors veterans organization and will give members of the community an opportunity to pause, remember and reflect on a day that changed the nation.
