CAVE CITY, Ky. — Veterans, military families and community members will have an opportunity to learn more about election reform efforts during an upcoming gathering in Cave City.

Veterans for All Voters Kentucky will host a community happy hour from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Cave City Distilling Company, 110 Chapatcha Drive.

The event is free and open to the public. Organizers said attendees do not have to be veterans to participate.

Veterans for All Voters is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that organizes military veterans and supporters around election reforms it says are intended to increase competition, reduce political polarization and make government more accountable to voters.

The organization lists G. Daniel Collins Jr. and Matt Rommel as its Kentucky state leaders.

“This is about bringing good people together around a simple idea: a cleaner voting system provides better leaders for everyone, no matter what side they sit on,” Collins said in a news release.

Collins said the event will provide an opportunity for people to learn about the organization, meet others interested in civic issues and find ways to become involved.

Organizers emphasize the gathering is not a campaign rally, candidate event or partisan gathering.

Veterans for All Voters was founded in 2021 by Navy veterans Eric Bronner and Todd Connor. The organization says its work focuses on structural election reforms, including increasing voter choice and competition. Its areas of focus also include voting reforms, dark money in politics, citizens' initiatives, gerrymandering and mail-in voting.

The Cave City event is listed as free, with registration available through Eventbrite.
