Coroner urges farm safety after two fatal accidents this summer

Two area farmers died in separate accidents involving farm equipment, prompting a safety reminder from Barren County Coroner Tim Gibson.
Barren County leaders have taken the first step toward creating a countywide zoning ordinance, beginning a months-long process to develop land-use regulations for unincorporated areas of the county.
The crash remains under investigation by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office.
In addition to serving on the Kentucky Board of Education, Brooking will participate in the Commissioner’s Student Advisory Council.
The family-owned business said it plans to continue focusing on fresh products and customer service while serving communities across south-central Kentucky.
The investigation remains ongoing.
One-day event will bring together women leaders from across South Central Kentucky for networking, professional development and keynote address.
The event will take place at Beaver Creek Park in Glasgow.
Since its founding in 1996, the organization has served more than 50,000 animals.
